  • How to Use Resin, Gum, and Powder Incense

Gums, resins, and powders are best used with charcoal and a brazier. This ancient method is very easy and effective, but requires vigilance and caution, since it depends on fire. Be alert to ensuring that whatever you burn is kept far from flammable materials.

In a brazier or firesafe pot, light an incense charcoal. When it is white hot, spoon some incense onto the coal.

      Tips:

      • When you only want to burn a small amount of incense, charcoals can be broken into smaller pieces.
      • Resin chunks usually smell better after being ground into powder.

      Enjoy!
