Palo Santo or "Holy Wood" (Bursera graveolens) is a natural wood incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, as well as to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune, and for medicinal purposes. It has a fine citrus aroma with underlying notes of frankincense, its close relative.
Many companies who sell palo santo are acquiring it illegally or from questionable sources. To protect it and ensure it is ethically and sustainably harvested only from naturally fallen trees, we get our palo santo directly from a reliable supplier in Ecuador.
