  • Maitreya Print

A frame-ready print for your altar or meditation room. This traditional Tibetan painting depicts Maitreya Buddha. The word Maitreya is from the Sanskrit maitrī, "loving-kindness", which is from mitra, "friend". Note the similarity to the ancient divinity named Mithra, a symbol of Christ.

This is an excellent image to visualize in meditation.

Printed on high-quality glossy paper. Available in two sizes:

    • 5x7 inches
    • 8.5x11 inches. Can also be framed 8x10

    Maitreya has levels of meaning.

"Buddha Maitreya is a title, a degree, which indicates any given Buddha who already achieved Christification." - Samael Aun Weor, The Major Mysteries

The Buddhists talk about "the future Buddha," the Maitreya Buddha, who is depicted seated Western style. That future Buddha is the angel described in Revelation:

“And the fifth angel (Samael) sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.” —Revelation 9:1

"The Maitreya Buddha Samael is the Kalki Avatar of the new age." - Samael Aun Weor, The Aquarian Messaage

"By the clear compassion of Maitreya,
May we reap the rich harvest of victory.
And cool the sufferings of karma and delusions.

    O Maitreya, Incomparable Lord,
    This fortunate aeon's fifth Buddha,
Inspire me and every sentient being
With the touch of your arm of compassion.

"In the presence of the Master,
    Whose eyes blaze with light,
I kneel down, hands joined, and pray
That the promise of the Throne,
    Like a carving in adamant,
    May never perish,
And the fruit of reciting your mantra
    May be experienced.

    "O Protector, you emancipate
    From the world's boundless sufferings.
I constantly seek refuge in you,
My able captain." - Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso, the Fifth Dalai Lama.
