  • Black Sage (Mugwort) Loose

Like all sage varieties, Black Sage or Mugwort is a form of artemisia, whose name comes from the Greek goddess Artemis (Diana).

This loose form of Mugwort can be used as incense or as a tea.

Mugwort has traditionally been consumed as a tea "to bring on menstruation, to regulate its normal activity, to regulate suppressed, tardy or heavy menstruation, to fortify the organs, to tone the woman’s nervous system, to combat neuralgia, nervous vomiting, etc." —Samael Aun Weor, Esoteric Medicine and Practical Magic

Native Americans use mugwort in a decoction for treating fevers, cold, bronchitis, and arthritis. Made into a poultice, they would treat tumors, inflammation, bruises, and wounds.

Some say that mugwort tea aids in dream awareness and memory.

"In their operations of elemental magic, ancient magicians used smudging with laurel branches, mugwort (artemisia), rue, sage, pine, rosemary, etc. Such plants were burned on burning coals. This observance is magnificent. The air is filled with the smoke of plants, the exorcised fire will reflect the will of the operator, and the subtle forces of nature will listen and respond to him." - Samael Aun Weor, Secret Doctrine of Anahuac

Includes two (2) ounces of mugwort, cut and sifted, packaged in a reusable, food-grade pouch made from natural Japanese kraft paper with a resealable airtight zip lock closure.

    Earthy smelling incense

This plant has an earthy smell/feel which grew on me quickly. I sense it as a deep spirit with good intentions. It is a great addition to the regular burning of various resins. Being rather insensitive even I was able to notice and appreciate the contrast. Highly recommend!

    Cleansing Mugwort Incense

This is a nice incense for cleansing a room or space. It has a mild herbal smell, and doesn't linger.
